What’s your booking & cancellation policy?
Kite surfing requires wind. If there's no wind, we'll be unable to conduct your lesson, in which case we'll look to reschedule or cancel your lesson. Otherwise, a 24-hour notice of cancellation is required. No-shows will result in a full charge.
How long does it take to learn to kite?
Everyone is different - it really depends on how much time you're willing to put towards practicing safe kiting.
Is all equipment provided?
Yes - all you'll need is a bathing suit, however, we recommend you prepare yourself for a few hours in the sun. Sunblock and a water bottle can go a long way, but if not, we've got your covered!
Will I surf a wave in the first hour?
Our top priority is you to standing up on a surfboard and surfing as many waves as possible. With that being said, we guarantee you will surf plenty of waves in the first hour.
Where is the best place to surf on Maui?
Our instructors will take you to the Maui surf locations where you will be the most comfortable. Typically, our lessons take place at Thousand Peaks, or various spots in Kihei.
How much experience does your team have?
It is a prerequisite to have at least 20 years of surfing experience to teach at Learn 2 Kite Maui.
Is there a surfing etiquette?
As many surfers would be quick to point out, there are rules. Our teachers are prepared to give you tips on who has the right of way in the water.
How safe is Kitesurfing?
Our instructors will ensure not only your safety, but also the safety of those around you.

Where are you located?
We are centrally located on Maui by the Kahului airport at 55 Alama Place unite 3 Kahului, HI 96732. We are a few minutes away from “kite beach” at Kanaha Beach Park.
Will I have access to photos and video created during the lesson?
Of course! Bring a thumb drive with you and we’ll dump all the footage. Reviewing the video a great way to help you see what you’re doing from the instructor’s perspective.
